Umanika, (in Visayan, “Uma ni Kalinaw”), or in English, Farm of Peace, is the eco-cultural farm of Greenminds, Inc. The farm sits on a 3,000-square meter slope in Impalambong, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, just 1.8 kilometers from the national highway.
Umanika serves as a as a fully functional “Learning while Earning” farm that that integrates indigenous knowledge and systems with modern agricultural technologies:
Aside from these, Umanika also offers “Create your very own Tea Recipe” with the numerous herbs available in the farm.
To serve all these activities, the farm also includes two buildings – one houses the kitchen and the dining area while the other, a two-storey structure, includes the office and a modest farm-type sleeping quarters for trainees and visitors. Tents are available to visitors who want to experience sleeping in the great outdoors. In line with being eco-friendly, farm facilities run on solar power and water supply is rain- fed.
To date, Umanika has hosted trainees and visitors from various provinces in the Philippines as well as guests from the Republic of Vanuatu, New Zealand, Mongolia and the United States.
